Quotes: I will look for the best 12 & 24 month fixed fee tariffs for your average usage.
The trend over the past couple of years, is a drop in the cap in July, although this can still be higher than previous cap rates. With the unpredictability due to external factors, a 24 month cap may be worth considering, depending on the exit fee penalties.

Initial quotes will be provided as soon as possible after I have received your form.
Information needed: Annual usage (see your latest bill), your postcode & house number. Do you have a EV car?
I do not charge for this service.

I will only research Dual Fuel, unless you only use Electricity, as single fuel rates are often higher.

Energy regulator Ofgem has proposed that by January 2026, all energy suppliers will be required to offer a low or zero standing charge Price Capped energy tariff, however these will have higher unit charges, so are only beneficial for low usage.
The government are also considering removing or reducing the 5.0% VAT on domestic energy bills.

Top Options

I have been using EDF for a while now and their App is very useful, their rates very competitive and ease of changing Tariff is very easy. If you sign up with EDF using the provided link we we both receive a £50 credit on our accounts.
E-on Next rates are generally very similar to EDF.
British Gas, So Energy & OVO Energy have reasonable rates.
Outfox The Market may be cheaper but you will have to provide your own meter readings to get accurate bills.
Octopus have great reviews but aren't the cheapest.

Utility Warehouse are generally very expensive, unless you take out other services with them, but even then they may not offer the best value.
Fuse Energy bill by Variable Direct Debit after the end of each month.

Contract Exit Fees

Standard options are:
£ nil - for Variable Tariffs and a few fixed rate deals
£25 to £100 per fuel = for fixed term contracts
Be careful locking into a high exit fee contract if rates are expected to drop within the contract period.
Two year contracts increase the risk of overpaying during your contract, so carefully consider the overall savings.

If not paying by Direct Debit then you will pay a small monthly surcharge and have less alternatives to choose from.

Price Cap History

Prices caps are not specifically fixed but set for a maximum cost for 'Typical' use. Unit & Standing Charges may be higher than the listed cap rates. The 'Best for You' company may vary for everyone based on your specific use.

Do It Yourself

If you have the time and patience to do the research yourself, here are the links that I use, in order of how competitive their pricing usually is.
Always read small print carefully, as some companies like OutFox require you to provide readings as they don't use smart meters.
