Personal Statement

In the past I've had a passion for my work and now I'm looking for a new employer that can provide me a job where I can once again have a passion for my work and actively support my employer in everything I do.

I switched from Office work after 20 years into the Food Retail Sector, working initially in the Warehouse at Marks and Spencer, I transferred to the Food Hall, where I have been for more than 13 years.

Whilst enjoying working on the retail sales floor I am giving serious consideration to returning back to an office role.

I am now looking to further develop my career and find employment where I can feel that I can give consideration to moving into at least a middle management position at some point in the future, which I don't not feel is right for me in my current employment.

Whilst I have not had any recent office experience, I have still kept up computer skills with personal office suite projects. I have also assisted my current employers when such skills were required. I produced a store newsletter and posters for more than a year and have done this for my previous employers too.

I always aim for high accuracy and efficiency in everything I do, whether working on my own or as part of a team. I have always been punctual with a low absence record, a copy of which I can provide if requested.

Hobbies and Interests

I generally enjoy relaxing pastimes such as playing pool, walking, photography and watching motor sports.

I enjoy group company on coach holidays and spending time with my close friends.

Work Location

I have held a full clean driving licence, since 1989, however I do not currently have my own transport.

I have local access to buses and trains so can commute with relative ease and reliability.

Awarded Regional Representative of the Month for July 2015, for constant and relevant communication between the business and colleagues. Duties include production of the store newsletter.
Elected to Deputy Chair from 23rd July 2015, Acting Chair from June 2016, Chair from September 2016.
